Re: Remington Being Bought

Headquartered in NYC but an awful lot of foreign countries mentioned there and reference to it being an investment company. This will no doubt be taken the wrong way but if our government continues to allow all this foreign influence and so-called american companies to shift operations overseas to India and such - sooner or later ww will wake up realizing that we have actually lost the war as foreign countries and investment will own all of our businesses and consequently our butts as well

Re: Remington Being Bought

It does not suprise me. Remington's quality has been going downhill the past decade. A few years ago when they started selling cheap imported guns, another flag went up. Last year when they introduced the 798 which was the same as the Charles Daly Mauser except cost more, I knew it was not long.

Re: Remington Being Bought

Like S&W a few years back...when they began to CAVE to the clinton whitehouse & gun control while being owned by a British company I believe.

Scary thoughts actually....Winchester can't make it with what many called "the riflemans rifle" The one by which all others are judged. And now Remington is under new ownership. Time will tell what happens at Remington.

At least Ruger & Savage are doing well.

Re: Remington Being Bought

Correct if I'm wrong here, but hasn't Remington been sold off a few times now? This has to be the 4th or 5th owner??? First it was Ithaca, then Winchester, T/C, Ruger, and now Remington again!! You have to wonder why they keep buying and selling these gun companies???
