Reloading ???'s. Looking to get into it

I want to start reloading. My Dad did it for years and then stopped. I can remember helping him when I was a little kid. But my Dad has given away all his reloading equipment and books. So we're going to have to start from scratch. I'll be reloading for all my guns mainly rifles and handguns ranging from .22 up to .338. What is a good place to look for a kit? or should I buy all the components separately? I don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money but I don't want a cheap kit either. Any sites or help would be appreciated.

I am in the process of getting into it too. I am going one piece at a time as I find a deal or what-not. I dont have a lot of $$$ to put towards it so its a bit at a time for me.

I have looked at MidwayUSA, Cabelas, and BassPro and they all sell "kits" from cheap to mega expensive. Try looking there to see what fits your bill.

Natchez Shooters Supply (Natchezss.com) is a great place and excellent on prices. I'd recommend Lee presses if you don't want ot spend an arm and a leg. These presses are very quality for the buck. I shuck out 44 mag and 357 mag out of mine right now, but is capable of all rounds.

IMO...you need a few presses to do it effectively! example...if your reloading alot of handgun brass...ie: .45 acp...you can really rip out alot of reloads (once the press is set up) with a Dillion blue press. At the same time, a long rifle case is a little slower because the cases tend to tip when the progessive plate turns...I prefer to load rifle cases on a single stage press!

Good tips, thanks guys. Hey VTbowman? We talked before, I hunt in central VT, you guys are taking a beating with snow lately huh? How much do you guys have on the ground? It can't be good for the deer getting that much snow at this time of the year. You think there will be a high mortality rate this winter?

Yea we have been having snow fall just about every day all day long but its not sticking. The ground thawed a while back so its melting at a steady rate. Its pretty cool still so the deeper stuff from the winter is still hanging on in spots.

I still have a good 2+ foot deep drift where I normally stand to shoot my bow but the other side of the back yard is open grass.

The deer seem to of done well none-the-less. Been seeing tons of them all around.

Now if the dang turkeys would show up Id be happy. LOL
