I can go to all my sons T-ball games, and soccer games. I can hook up the boat and take him fishing or play catch in the back yard. I'm really excited about it if you can't tell!! grin.gif I'll be posting pics of all the BBQn' i'll be doing all summer long!! I might even change my Avatar back to the ol Swedish Chef! grin.gifgrin.gif

Some day I'll get day shift and hold it...I've been at my current job for over 13 years...got day shift two different time..once for 8 months and another time for 5 months. Back on nights now 11pm-7am.

I'm close...just don't know when...congrats on your shift change!

2nd shift is great if you are a young single guy. Having a family it is rough. I go on shift every 3 months. Work a long week of days, then long week of 4-mids, then a long week of mids-8. Mine only last for a little while but I hate them. I don't mind the midnights but the 4-12's you miss everything. Never fails mine are always on a week where there is alot going on. Congrats on getting day shift. After working 2nd shift that long it will probably take some time to adjust but it will be much better.

Thanks for all the comments everybody. I'm sure it will take abit of getting used too. I am kind of a morning person anyways. I think Steve said it best "nothing in this world is more important than your kids". I agree and I want both of them growing up with me, as one of their two best friends. smile.gif
