Master_Chief
Just got me a new Chevy 2500 HD 4X4. It came with a sprayed in bed liner from Vortex. I am looking at putting a Tonneau cover on. Anyone ever put one on over the liner and had any issues. One install demo I saw shows a piece of double sided tape on the forward part of the bed. Don't know how well that will stick to the liner. Looking at the Literider cover from Agricover.
HarvDog
Re: New truck and a question I have an ARE hard-shell tonneau over a LineX sprayin liner on my 05 Dodge Ram with absolutely no problems. The ARE tonneau installs with some strips of double sided foam tape but our secured with integrated clamps. PM me if you have more questions or want pix. Hoosierbuck
Re: New truck and a question I think that the tape is more about a slight buffer strip between the cover and rail than about sticking the two parts together. I think they use the tape because it is less likely to fall out, and knocks down the rattling noise of two hard parts making contact. I think you will be all right, as long as they are using clamps like the man said. HB

Shaun_300
Re: New truck and a question Congrats on the new truck! I have a Pendacover on mine, I didn't even use the two way tape on it, ripped it off and used that 1 1/2" or 2" foam tape. Only sticks to the tonneau cover and acts like a gasket so no water gets into the bed. I'm sure it'd work good on any surface, it's foam so it'll form to any shape you put it on. Good luck!
