carbonhunter
So yesterday was food plot day. Spent some time at the co-op and local pheasent forever spots picking up sorgum and other grains. While at pheasents forever I bought a raffle ticket for a gun. After leaving for about an hour I had to stop back through to pick up a bag that I had forgoten. When i walked through the door Jim our local president said hey Aaron I was just about to call you, you won a shotgun. So Im the new owner of a Mossberg Silver Reserve Just wondering if anyone has one or knows anything about them? I know there imported by Mossberg but who makes the gun? Any help would be nice. Strut10
Re: And the Winner is Congrats on the new shootin' iron!!! It's the BEST kind.......free!!! The SR is made, I think, in Turkey and I believe by Sarsilmaz. I have not owned or shot one. But I've torn a couple apart some. They look like they'd make a good field gun. I would not get one to shoot 100's of registered birds per week. Not built for that. But, for the money (if you had to buy it) it seems to be a heck of a deal on a solid gun. Some guys that do own and shoot them have had problems (doubling and firing pin breakage). But other guys have 100's of rounds through theirs with zero problems. Get out and enjoy yours and report back how it goes.

Jeramie
Re: And the Winner is From what ive read they are great guns. Ive read several articles about dove hunts and such. People really seem to enjoy them (especially for the price). That will be my next scatter gun. Congrats on the win!
