Bowtech_archer07
Just curious. I started hunting when I was 10, with squirrel, turkey, rabbit, and deer with a shotgun. Then, when I was 12, I started bowhunting deer. When I was 14, I started turkey hunting.

Huntress
Re: What age did you first start hunting Since I was in diapers. My dad would carry me around and bring my seat so I could sit in the stand or blind with him. He made me my first bow out of hickory when I was 4 and I have never looked back. I shot my first squirrel when I was 5 with a single shot .22 that I still have. I started deer hunting when I was 11 (legal age then). I LOVE it! I try to get as many kids in the woods when I can...when you've got a squirrely, cold, and loud 8 year old with you, it makes you appreciate your parents patients. Lol... Tominator
Re: What age did you first start hunting Even though I wanted to start when I was abooot 5, he didn't let me walk until I was aboot 12. I think that year I got to carry my Red Ryder. Year after that I got to carry a single shot .410. Then I got to borrow my cousin's 20 gauge Ithaca, which I bought a year later. Guest HoppeMan
I didn't start hunting til I was 12, I went pheasant hunting once ot twice. But we ran out of room to hunt, and didn't hunt again for about 2 years til we moved to a hunter's haven. Then hunted rabbit and squirrel. When I was about 15, then came deer. And now this year, at 17, came turkey!!!!!!!!!!!!! The best yet by far :D Take care, Nathan
