I use a pine ridge from cabelas and will give you some advice if you can find one with a nice coating on it rubber plastic whatever it will be of benifit to you mine has had all of th paint burned or corroded off of it and I will have to replace it at the start of next season otherwise I love the scope

I have an older model Leupold 2-7 VXII on one of my ML's and it is a nice scope. With the Encore you shouldn't have as much of the problem dlr referred to above, but I get that with my older Knight, so I know what he means. If you like Leupold go with them, it's good to have confidence in your scope.

I would go with a nikon prostaff,monarch, or the scoped you already like on your rifles. I did not like those omega ml scopes b/c the pre set bdc never seemed to match the yardages it was meant for. Go with what you like and what you have on your rifles.

here in Utah we can only use fixed 1x scopes on smokepoles. I have a Nikon Buckmasters and a simmons 1x32 shotgun scope. Both are great.
