dlriggins
Now what am I going to do I dont have anything to look at while the misses is spending all my money Is it political economical or are they hiring people who arent trained to do the paperwork and getting nailed by the feds? Does anybody know what is up with this ?
wtnhunt
Re: No guns at the Wal Mart Wal mart quit selling guns in SOME of their stores. From what I was told, those stores simply were not moving enough guns, and the errors on paperwork kind of had a bit to do with the reasoning for why they decided to cut guns out of the stores with the lowest sales. Some stores move a lot of guns, and they are not likely to be in jeopardy any time in the real near future.
toddyboman
Re: No guns at the Wal Mart Have to agree with what William said. Only SOME took them out of their stores not all. I guess your going to have to hit the magazine rack now while the misses shops.
mo_hunter
Re: No guns at the Wal Mart [ QUOTE ] Now what am I going to do I dont have anything to look at while the misses is spending all my money Is it political economical or are they hiring people who arent trained to do the paperwork and getting nailed by the feds? Does anybody know what is up with this ? [/ QUOTE ] Same here only the walmart in my town has one of the highest sales, so they still have guns. BUT, BUT they are reducing the number of different guns they carry, Hunting section gets smaller and smaller each year. How long till it's all gone?????? For that reason I started buying from local gun shops. I'll pay more for guns or ammo elsewhere to help the local places stay in business. Walmart doesn't care about us hunters or gun owners, it's a very small amout of there sales.

johnf
Re: No guns at the Wal Mart I've got a friend who is a Wal-Mart manager. He said what a big part of the issue is that Wal-Mart doesn't spend enough time training people how to do the paperwork. If they make a mistake, the coorperation hangs the employee out to dry with the govt. Emplyoees are then unwilling to sell the guns, sales go down then the store stops selling them. He said it's actually built into the system that they will be phased out as more untrained workers are unwilling to sell. Basically it's a way for them to stop selling guns without just comming out and doing it. When the old man died the whole company went to ****! snapper
Our local Wally world still has guns..but they aren't in the little revolving cases like they used to be...they are behind the counter in a case far enough away that you can't see prices well or actually see the guns! Have to ask to look at one...and usally no one behind the counter. As for hiring/training folks how to fill out the paper work...they must be hiring some real educated folks...the paper work isn't that hard to figure out! LifeNRA
My local wally world has stop carrying guns. The ATF has been comming down on their head office because of errors on the paperwork! So the stores that are screwing up the paperwork are losing their guns to sell! The problem with my local store is that hardly any of them speak ENGLISH!!!!!!!!! TxBowHunter
The people at our wal-mart have no clue about the guns, paperwork and you spend about 2hrs in there just filling out stuff that could have taken about 30min

arrow32
Our Walmart still carries guns here. As said in before posts it is just some Walmarts that have dropped there guns the ones that were not selling enough guns for it to be worth while. stevebeilgard
so, no guns to look at. here's what you do: just go over to womens panties & bras. hold them up, maybe try one on in a mirror.... she'll get you out of there plenty quick. lol
JDAWG
It's more of a business move than anything. They want to move the merchandise in the stores that have sold them well in the past. What they are trying to do is eliminate the non-moving inventory, which is wasted merchandise dollars that they could use for something else. I used to be a store manager for SAMS club, they do this thing all the time. Its a smart business decision.
