I found these camera via another post and was wondering if it would be worth the money...

MFH-F-100 Game Spy F100

MFH-GWC Game Watcher Film Camera

Both have time and date stamps.

I understand they are 35 mm instead of digital, but thats okay.

What do y'all think about these?

Re: Moutrie Cameras??

Would not waste my time with film cams if I was you.

Biggest downside to them is the film and processing. My first cam was a stealth 35 mm digital. Ran about 80 rolls of film through it in a couple years time. Start figuring and adding up, I could have bought areally nice digital with what I spent on film and processing alone.

Another thing to remember on film cams is that you have to take the film in and wait. Digital is NOW.

Re: Moutrie Cameras??

my first cam was film and I still use it and it is so frustrating at times compared to my digital. First off the roll of film is sometimes never completely used so your wasting money on that plus getting those pics of nothing developed burns you. I would not waste your time and money on these film cams. Very frustrating and $$

I super DUPEWR agree with this statement. They are nothing more then a pain and costly IMHO. I had went that way "to save some $$$" and found that the digiyals are they way to save money.

Re: Moutrie Cameras??

Here are some good deals on the 35 mm. I use to have 4 of the 35 mm moultrie until I started making my own. They worked good for me but it is a pain to have to wait on the film to get developed. In the long run you will save money with the digital. But if you want to get your feet wet then this may be what you want. You will go digital sooner or later.

check out this link and scroll down to the cameras on closeout. Several picture on my webshots page below are from my old moutrie cams.

Good luck.

I agree with sticking with digital.

If you can find a used Leaf River or a homebrew, that's what I'd try do.

Moutrie seem to be hit or miss. One works fine, the next is junk.:o

The new moultries out now are supposed to be better and are supposed to compete with homebrews, supposed to? Still I dont know.

From what I have read, their new 5 mp camera is supposed to have a less than one second trigger. That unit is selling at cabelas for $150, would be interested in reading some reviews on the camera and see how it compares to homebrews side by side, because I cannot build the cams I am building for that.
