Re: Favorite part of the hunt

Gotta confess....I love absolutely every part of it. From watching the woods wake up, to anticipating a monster buck walking out, to the instant adrenaline rush, to making the hit and tracking it down, to bringing it home. Every aspect of the hunt is gratifying to me. Just wish I had started hunting a loooooooooooong time ago. smirk.gif

Every minute for me. It's the entire experience that makes the hunt enjoyable not any one part. Harvesting an animal is a great part of it, but without the other parts of the hunt it'd just be killing to me and not as enjoyable.

Well said Andrea! I cannot wait to get to the neck step like you. Getting to hunt with my children. I have no doubt it may go directly to the top of my list.

Yeah that is a really tough question!! I love all parts of the hunt! Especially if I am having a day where I am seeing game. I really love that first sight of the animal you want to take. The adrenaline and trying to calm down to make a successful shot, the shaking that comes out after the shot is made. The nervousness thata comes with trailing until you put your hands on the animal. Of course hearing that big bird gobble on its way in is a ultimate rush to. Sorry its just to hard to pick!! :)

Love every minute of it. I guess my favorite part is when I first catch glimpse of something moving in the woods. Just the instant adrenaline rush. Also, love the part about where there is no phone, tv, kids screeming, etc... in the woods. Just birds and squirrels running around...just so therapeutic and relaxing. I love it all, even if I don't see anything.
