muggs
Some nice crowds turned out for the AL series between my Tribe and the Angels. Classy fans who made them feel welcome. Well, I did here one drunken fan shout "Borowski who stink" repeatedly, but it was sorta funny and what do you expect from a guy who's at a ballpark named after a beer. People were speculating as to how many people would show up, and most guesses were around 1,000. I think they had over 18,000 for the seriers opener. And they got to see a few good ball game. I know the Cleveland organization really appreciated the hospitality. So Chrud, Finn, JrFinn...hats off. Just too bad that Favre guy has to jerk you guys around so much. But I digres. But seriously, the Brew Crew is welcome at the Jack anytime.
Tominator
Re: Hats off to the Milwaukee fans... I made the same comment to my wife as we watched that game last night Eric. Kind of surprised seeing as that wasn't their home team playing. Told Heather they must really miss AL style of play.

markyj987
Re: Hats off to the Milwaukee fans... Milwaukee's a good baseball town. One thing I think maybe helped is that a lot of people are still fascinated that the movie Major League was filmed at old County Stadium here--wonder if that's why so many showed up to root for the Indians. Even if that hadn't been filmed here, I'm sure that there wouldn't have been many cheering for the California/Anaheim/WhateverGeographicalAreaTheyRepresentThisSeason Angels. I don't miss my team being in the AL at all though. I'm not sure if it's because I hate the DH or the White Sox more--but I'm glad we have an NL team now. Strut10
Re: Hats off to the Milwaukee fans... That's impressive. The Pirates (for obvious reasons) can't draw 18,000 in Pittsburgh unless it's opening day or they're having fireworks after the game. Chrud
Re: Hats off to the Milwaukee fans... I did hear that there were over 17,000 fans for the opener. I know if I lived in Milwaukee, for $10 a ticket I would have went to see the whole series.
