birddog
Yup, it cut mine in more than half too: Posts made before a certain date must not have counted any longer:
AdvantageTimberLou
someone needs to address the loss of post count! not fair at all! Can Scott tell us why?

too_pointer
Scott knows all about the loss of posts. It will be addressed, but there are many more problems in here yet that are higher priority right now. too_
tedicast
As I said earlier, in another thread, it really sucks for a lot of people if the post count, can't be fixed. If it is not reapairable, now would be a perfect time to do away with the post count entirely. What does a post count do really? I think it causes a lot of nonsense replies. Everyone would still have their titles,,,monster buck, senior member etc, and our joined date. This will give new members an idea of who has been around awile. Over on the Mathews forum, they did away with post count, and it was the bestthing that happened to the forum, in my opinion. I know a lot of people are really into their post count, and trying to move up on the post count ladder, but does it really matter? I honestly think, if the post count for everyone can't be restored, that doing away with the post count would be the fair thing to do. _MD_
I lost very few, only about 20. Is there anything in common among the lost posts? One word posts, or posts with just smilies. Something must be some commonality between all these lost posts.
Tom2008
Its not after a certain date cause I didnt' lose any. It will be fixed I'm sure just give it time.
HarvDog
I lost about 1200. I'm still a Monster Buck but now under 10k posts. How can I show my face?!?!?
tedicast
I think thew posts that were lost, were mainly from people that have been here long enough to have been posting on one of the original versions of the forum. I lost about 1000 posts. I have been here since 2002
Shaun_300
A lot of people have lost quite a few posts, I only lost a couple hundred, but like said before, I could care less if I had 100 or 20,000.
Covehnter
100% agreed. I agree, keep the titles so you know who has been around but the actual post numbers are useless. I lost about 800 i think but it's no biggie.
lil hunter
I lost around 7,000 posts. I was getting close to the 10,000 mark, and now i'm under 3,000. They may have all been posts from one of the older servers, but I didn't think I had that many more back then, than I do now.

I lost about 800 i think but it's no biggie. i have been a monster moron for a couple years now,,,all of a sudden i'm not ....that's what angers me....but i will give them time to make corrections if possible!!! what was wrong with the way it was???????? LifeNRA
I still say that all the posts that were under ten characters were deleted. The new formatte is growing on me now. Do I like it? Not really. I still like the UBB threads better. The post counts dont really bother me that much, I was looking forward to breaking 10k. But the more I think about it, I like tedicast idea. Keep the status titles, but loose the actual count. Either way, its the people on here that keeps me coming back!
Ohiobucks
i have been a monster moron for a couple years now,,,all of a sudden i'm not ....that's what angers me.... This is what angers you? Our nation is at war with almost no support from Congress, there is another Clinton running for president in 2008, it's April 15th and they are forecasting snow tomorrow, deer season is still months off, price of gas is thru the roof, and Rosie is still on TV. And this is what angers you?? Of course I'm being sarcastic, if we all lost a few posts here and there, it ain't the end of the world.... arrow32
John I totally agree with you. It really intimateds some new users I think know it did when I first joined to see people with 10,000 posts and you with 1 makes you feel like an outsider.lol No post count would be fine by me.
AdvantageTimberLou
Cody if post counts are intimidating then something is wrong with that person? Just shows me that this people are here to stay and are filled with knowledge and willing to share input. Its not a race to see who gets the most but I feel some that lost a ton should get them back. Not fair. Archerytalk.com still keeps there post counts and its not a war over there. A racing forum I go to has a post count and it does not turn into a war there either. So if you feel people with a ton of posts are intimidating then be it but I am not intimidated by guys like wtnhunt, buckee, & Tominator.....well maybe Buckee, did you see what he did with that buck with his knife? LMAO!!!!
wtnhunt
Yup, it cut mine in more than half too: Posts made before a certain date must not have counted any longer: Yep, I think this is exactly why. Think somewhere around mid to late 2004 is when the post count goes back to, there was a change or upgrade back then if I remember right. Users who started after that were uneffected, users who had posts before that time lost them all.
