I currently use the mossberg choke that came with the gun and shoot the cheapo winchester supremes and it does fine out to around 35 yards then gets a little more scattered. I've heard tons of good things about the comp n choke with the 835 guns. I plan on getting one soon.

I use a Turkey Super Full Factory Style Choke from Cabelas EW-21-0873 order #913 Page 34 of the spring turkey Catalog. I also use federal Flight Control 3 inch number 6's

Works very good for me, although I keep my shots to 40 yards or less, I do get 30- 50 pellets in the head neck at 50 yards.

I have 2 835's and I use a undertaker choke in one with Winchester supreme 3" shells; and in the other 835 I use a ported Lohman .675 tube. I am good out to 40 yards with both guns and have not shot further than that. #5's in 3 1/2" are supposed to be long range turkey medicine. For me the 3 1/2" shells are just a bit much. I like getting the birds in close.

I use the HS Undertaker with Winchester Supremes in 3" #5's. That combo is deadly out to 35 yards but I find that a back-up shell in Remington hevi-shot does better at the 40-45 yd mark. That's an important point for all of us who might miss a close shot, (been there, done that), and needed a second when ole tom is a runnin'! Just make sure you have the right choke for hevi-shot loads, too. And in my opinion, we shouldn't try to shoot past 40-45 yds max, though if your gun does it, I guess it's a judgement call.
