arrow32
Might be getting lucky and seeing the same dang ones day in day out roaming but thatd be to lucky eh? Get out there and bust a few of them in the evenings or wait till turkey season is over then do it. There last year my cousin busted a couple with his shotgun during turkey season when they ran in close enough. That 5 shot will do a number to them up close. Doc
So, think about it. What natural predators do you have that prey on coyotes. Over here on the east coast, we don't have any, and other parts of the country have darn few coyote eaters either. In fact, other than wolves or mountain lions, I can't think of any. So why wouldn't these coyote populations explode. Unless there is a concentrated hunting and trapping effort, the only thing that will knock down the population would be disease. So get busy and start organizing some hunts. Where legal, coyote hunting offers some great off-season hunting opportunities. You might even consider a winter trapline too, and maybe pick up some extra spending money to finance your other outdoor activities. wtnhunt
Yotes are open year round here. Hear them in the evenings quite a bit, but have not seen but one since deer season. Plan to try some more yote hunting after turkey season here closes up.

Guest HoppeMan
We got our share of coyotes here as well. Here them howling bout every night. Saw one in broad daylight last week while out scouting for turkey. If I had brought the .22 with me, which I was thinking of in case I DID see a doggie, I would have ended it then and there. Wanna get out there soon and shoot a few Take care, Nathan

Bachflock
I saw more coyote sign than turkey sign were I hunted and heard them every night but one. Never saw one, however. Supposedly a guy took 13 coyotes over 3 weeks on the neigbhoring property. Gives me a reason to go hunting some more! LOL
