too_pointer
Have any of you wise men tried the MolyFusion process in your rifles barrels, and if you did , did you notice anything different ? People are using it in their rimfire rifles quite abit on another site, and claim higher velocities because of it, and smoother contact where metal to metal occurs. thanks too_
AJ
While I have not tried the Federal Factory Moly Fusion, I have and still use moly coated bullets in a few of my guns. My hot rod guns that shoot 3600 + fps like the .17 Remington, .22-250 Remington, and my 6mm-06 Improved, shoot moly coated bullets the best. I have found I can sustain accuracy a lot longer with moly bullets then plain naked bullets. At moderate velocities, (3000 and lower fps) I do not use moly coated bullets. I have tried it but I did not see a noticable improvement in average group size.
too_pointer
Thanks. I suppose for the rifles that have it in the barrel, it wouldn't hurt anything. It is hard for me to believe that with shooting and cleaning, that it would last very long. If I ever did use it, it would be only for rimfires, but after reading about the velocities, it probably would be a waste of time and $$. too_
