HarvDog
harv you are exactly right, i am at fault here i didnt mean to really jump on the police for not taken action cause they did do the right thing, i asked this question in my criminal justice class at school this morning which is taught by our county sheriff and he made a valid point that i didnt even think of, he said that in our society today everyone finds someone to blame when things go wrong which in this case before the facts are all out there the police and college were the first ones to be blamed, which i did, but didnt mean too, he also explained that the man power in this case would have not been possible with 26,000 students, he compared it to pretty much shutting down the town, also he said for instance if you were to shut down the school that would be like a shooting at a house in neighborhood would mean you would have to shut down the whole neighborhood by going door to door which there isnt enough time, i am in the field of criminal justice but i am kinda glad i made this mistake cause i learned from it and it will help me in the future, i jumped the gun and didnt bring in all the other aspects of the scenario which in law enforcement you need to do, so i think i learned alot from this No worries! What that sheriff said is so true. It is so easy for us to immediately try to find someone or thing to blame when incidents like this occur. Maybe subconsciously we think it will ease or replace the pain. I'm not entirely sure but it happens to us all.
coles
i saw on the news that the hospital report showed that everyone that was shot, was shot at least 3 times. this man was rutheless. i also heard that after the first shooting, emails were sent out to all the students who commute to the school to warn them. i dont know if it was true or not but that doesnt seem like a good way to warn people. i also realize that there probably wasnt any other way to get ahold of all the others but i dont know. it just doesnt make sense to me. this is a very bad deal and we really need to keep these victim's families in our prayers.
