BearClaw
Anyone ever use Secret Spot by Whitetail Institute? When is the best time to plant it? Does it work?
wtnhunt
While I have never used it myself, I have heard that it is pretty good. Planned to use it one year here, but it was sold out where I had seen it before, so I went with a pennington blend instead.
LETMGROW
We planted about 1/2 acre last year. We tore up a plot gone bad with another mix and tried the Secret Spot. Although planted late for our area [ Aug. 23 ] it grew well and the deer really were attracted to it. We are going to try some this year but plan to get the planting in much earlier. Adjam5
It is a fall planting and deer will graze the heck out of it. Use plotsaver or some sort of scare tactic to keep the animals away until its taken good. It is a annual planting.
BuckNrut
Planted Secret Spot last fall, but it got flodded out and never grew.
