My Playoffs

My playoffs begin Thursday with a best of 3 series. We are coming in as the 1 seed from our district after going 10-0 in district play. We will play a very accomplished baseball school and coach. He has 8 state titles in 23 years there.

Thursday night will also serve as my senior night. This is a fun time of year, but for me and my fellow seniors it will be scary because you dont know when it is going to end.

This has been a very special year for me, because of many things. We've defied all the rankings and talk that we weren't really good, i've had a decent hitting year (356 avg. 7 hrs, 11 2bs, 2 3bs), and i'm also playing along side my brother who is only in the 8th grade. I just hope we can play deep into the playoffs.

I will start at first and hit in the 3 hole. Will also see some pitching time probably.

Well we lost game 1. Pretty much got our butts handed to us. Would rather not give a score. Had a pitchers duel through three with both throwing a shutout, but our wheels fell off in the top of the fourth. Their guy ended up with a 2 hit shutout. I doubled off him in the first, but he struck me out in the fourth. Game 2 is at their place tonight at 7. We've got a team lunch at 1, then we're leaving. Could be my last game, or at least high school game.
