Does anyone know any differences between the st. croix premier spinning rods and the st. croix triumph spinning rods? The only one I know of is that the triumph's are made overseas. I'd like to get one of the two, but don't know if i need to spend the extra $20-$30 on the premier or if i could just stay with the triumph. Of course, if the premier is better quality, i'd go with that. Thanks for any responses.

i fish st. croix avids, i do not own and premieres or triumphs, i do have friends that have those rods though, i did check them out at a local baitshop and compared the avids to both of them, if you can get the chance to check them out hold the two side by side in each hand, you will notice a difference, there is a complete different feel, as for sensitivity i would like to fish both of them to see how they compare to the avid, but there is definately a different feel in all 3 of them, personally i like the avid the most, but every rod is gonna feel different cause they are all designed differently and also every fisherman is different so rods are gonna be different to that individual, as for buying a st. croix in general is a great choice, but i would recommend if you plan on having this rod for a long time and using it alot, i would definately step up the the most you can afford when it comes to st. croix, there is gonna be a quality difference in them, but JMO

One of them is going to have a higher graphite content than the other, which is a good thing! The higher the graphite, the more sensitive it will be! I was always buying and using HMG Fenwicks, until I found out that the same blank was being used in one of the Bass Pro rods! Been buying them ever since. Buy two get one free! Cant beat that! Lets just say I havent bought a fresh water rod in about ten years! Got a few as back up! LOL!
