blacktailslayer
Ok I have tried just about every deer feed and supplement product out there and have only found that blacktail deer will eat "Buck Grub". I still have not found the right brand of corn they will eat. Its seems that they will try just about every brand, but it will only be a few bits and then they never touch it again. Does anyone have any ideas on a brand of corn that might work on blacktail deer. They are extremely picky on what they eat. Thanks
wtnhunt
Have you tried purina's deer chow, or antler king's deer pellets? Would think the pelleted feeds would be more attractive and much better for the deer.
dogdoc
never heard of a deer that won't eat corn?? They must already have plenty of available forage if they are turning down corn.
Guest anderson3
Blacktails are a little different critter than Whitetails. Our eastern food plot and feeding tricks may not work the same out there. Working on improving native food sources (if possible) may get you the best results. blacktailslayer
I checked my feed on Thurs. and they ate 30lbs of Nutrena all-breed in nothing flat. This is a grain, corn, molasses feed. I think I finally found something that works for blacktails along with Buck Grub and alfalfa.
wtnhunt
Nutrena puts out some great quality feed. Use their senior feed for an old horse we have that no other feed was working for.
brad dryden
One thing you could try is All-stock witch is animal feed that has corn, molases, pellets and other great stuff to grow deer.
blacktailslayer
feed I tried the Nutrena all-breed (grain, corn, molasses) and the deer ate 30-35lbs of it in no time. I think I finally found a great blacktail feed along with the buck grub and alfalfa. Thanks for all your help. Has anyone ever tried Nutrena's deer feed? SoybeanMan
I have fed a little Purina deer feed, but it is pricey. They ate it, but the deer also ate the corn and soybean I put out. The buck grub is rice bran a by-product of rice milling. If you are close to a rice mill, you could buy it there. Deer love it. It will cake up or clog in most feeders when it gets humid or damp.
