MCH
Is A-rod on fire or is A-rod on fire???? What's sad is that if he goes 0-5 with 4 strikeouts in the next game he'll probably get booed off the field. :D
SuperMn106
He is off to an awesome start but the New York fans are hard to please. I have always thought he was one of the best in the game.
dogdoc
as much as he makes he should be on fire all the time:)
muggs
Kev, you better thank Eric Wedge Well, just another game where the Tribe got "Wedgied";) Now, if you were a manager in the majors, there's two runners on base, the hottest hitter who's off to one of the best starts in the history of the game is coming up to bat....you have first base open...what would you do? That's right! You'd walk his over paid, prettyboy hide. But what does Wedge do? He lets Borowski groove him a Reagan era fastball (mid-80's...get it:) ) right down the middle for a 3-run game winning jack. Please fire Wedge!!! This guy has no clue, and the only thing he's ever sure of is the huge man crush he has for Casey Blake, who btw, left a small country on base yesterday all by himself. This guy is playing rightfield, leftfield, firstbase, thirdbase...what else Wedge? I here said skip is thinking about letting him close after JoBo's nuclear meltdown in the bronx yesterday. The Tribe's bullpen is shaky at best...but if we had a decent manager this is still a 90-win team. With Wedge in there...we're lucky to win 75. buckbuster11
How did we go from A-Rod to Eric Wedge? Anyway yeah A-Rod is on fire but, until he does this in the postseason New York is still going to hate him.
muggs
How did we go from A-Rod to Eric Wedge? because, Eric Wedge is the biggest contributor to A-Rod's 10th homerun. If we walks him, like every other manager would have in that situation, we're not talking about A-Rod today DB.
toddyboman
Anyway yeah A-Rod is on fire but, until he does this in the postseason New York is still going to hate him. Yup. He needs to start playing big in the big games all the time!!

Batter was 0-4 with two strike outs already. On deck batter is left handed and has already hit one home run already. Up by two runs. Not sure what left hander Wedge had in the bullpen, but I know their bullpen's not too deep. Borowski may have been his only option. :D BUT if he did have a left handed specialist in the bullpen, Wedge's mistake was letting Borowski pitch to Abreu. How about going to your closer in a non-close situation? Yup, that's Wedge for you. Don't even get me started though. They traded Wickman for a AA catcher who's 5'9" 168 lbs. They got rid of him all because they didn't want to pay him...well they're paying JoBo just as much. Anyway, lefty/righty....sure worked well for A-Rod. It's retarded. I forget who was pitching in the 8th, but he was dealing...I would have let him start the 9th with JoBo and a lefty in the pen. But that's just me, and I'm a sports genius...so I maybe shouldn't blame Wedge. btw- Wicky is perfect in saves this year for the first place Braves.
