I Apologize

I apologize folks for not being very helpful in here lately.:(

This forum switch-over couldn't have happened at a worse time for me. I just started a big interior job (out of town) last Monday and barely get in here much at all in a day.

Not enough time to learn all the new things, never-mind help others.

Today I had to go down for my first Cancer appointment with the surgeon, in Victoria. Can't say that was much fun. Had to rent a car to get down there, which I suppose was better than paying for gas in my old pickup truck. Ended up getting a parking ticket for $25, after paying for 2 hours of parking. I was in with the doctor for 2 1/2 hrs, and lost track of the time...geesh.

Anyway, I have to go back down in a couple of weeks for a CT scan, to find out what kind of access is available around my hip bones...or something like that

Then to top it all off the actual operation is going to be in Vancouver, not Victoria, like I was told. That means a 3 day trip...about 6 or more months down the road..GEESH, I'm tired just thinking about it.

This job is going to keep me really busy for the next 3 weeks, so I hope you folks can help Clint(the webmaster) get all these kinks and quirks fixed in the forums, without too much trouble.

Steve, i'm sure I can speak for everyone when I say "you take of care of yourself first and worry about the RT forums next." We have gotten so much good advice from you throughout the years and we thank you for every word of it. There is no need to apologize, and for once let's everyone in the forums say a prayer for Steve to get healthy soon so we can see another 30,000 posts.

God Bless bud!

No need for an apology

I don't feel there is any need for you to apologize Steve, there are more important things in life than the forums. Regarding your health, you need to get yourself in the right state of mind and concentrate on what is coming up for you in the next few months. Everyone understands that and nobody here would blame you for anything at all. Stay the course, keep your head up and remember that all your Realtree buddies are thinking and praying for you daily.

Steve,

I wish you the best of luck. We will manage here just fine. I know that you are always there for all of us and we are here for you! The doctor's should give you a parking voucher. Ask them when you go back.

Take care,

Randy

We did manage to get a ferry voucher to pay for the ferry over to Vancouver and back, but no mention of a parking voucher. The nurse also gave us a line on some cheaper accomodations close to the hospital, for the nights we have to stay there. We'll have to check those out, and see what cheaper means..LOL

In fact, before we went to Victoria, the nurse told me on the phone to make sure I bring some loonies for parking:rolleyes:

No problem

No problem Buckee...your family, health, and job come first. To be quiet honest with you, I haven't been around much since the new forum switch either just out of I can't figure out certain things and I am just waiting until everything is in fine working order before I even mess with stuff. I see some good in the new forums, but overall, I wish it had been left alone. Take care of you my friend and don't ever feel your first priority is moderating us! "eh" (After all, we can't really kill each other....no one wants to drive that far).

No apology needed Steve, can understand your frustration and think we are all in the same boat with you as far as being a bit lost. Will just take a little time to figure everything out.

Most important thing right now, you need to get yourself taken care of, and get better. Dont worry about things here, everything will work out.
