Hillbilly
Last year I missed a Big Gobbler last spring. Had him in at least 50 yards. I was very mad after calling him in with scratching the leaves and using The Freal with Crystal Slate Call. And Box Cutter from Primos. Probably too far away. Guest DaHunter
Re: Can\'t wait for revenge this spring. Well it sounds like you need that bird, i know whats its like. I worked one all last season without a good shot. Goodluck on him and maybe you need a different gun, lol. j/k 50 yards isnt anything nowadays. Guest Rod
Re: Can\'t wait for revenge this spring. I'm ready for April. I killed two nice gobblers last spring, and saw a couple huge toms this fall where I deer hunt. Hopefully I'll see at least one of them again in a few months. Let him come. If he won't come..........try again tomorrow.
Guest Rod
Re: Can\'t wait for revenge this spring. 50 yards is too far, you're more likely to cripple one than kill it at that range with many guns and loads.
Guest DaHunter
Re: Can\'t wait for revenge this spring. Well if your confident with your equipment and have shot that distance many times i dont think its too far of a shot. Alltho you do have too be more careful with not taking more than one bird!. Know your equipment and you will know your distances, i have no problem with a 50 yard shot. some might not like it but if that bird is going away hes gunna be dead at 50,lol.
