wtnhunt
Have heard that poast works well, but have not tried it. Used glyphosate here on spots in our 1 acre clover plot, and it seemed to work pretty well.
Ravin R10 man
Poast Plus. That would be my choice.. or any other ,selective herbicide labled for clover, check with your local ag extension agent, or farm store
QDMAworks4me
I was wondering.... I have a 3 acre patch of provide which is a clover chicory mix, will poast plus kill the chicory, because some consider it to be a weed? Should I use poast or something else to spray for weeds?? Poast will not kill the chicory--only grasses. As for broadleaf weeds you would want to use 2,4DB--however this has the potential to harm/kill your chicory. SoybeanMan
Poast, Poast Plus, Select, Assure, and Fusilade are grass only herbicides. Most require a crop oil as an adjuvant. Select is now offered in generic. Some are better on certain grasses, but all will not kill sedges or broadleaves. You may see minor crop oil burn which is common when temps are high. Contact your local chemical dealer for the best price.

What chemical/process do you all use to get rid of the grass? Thanks! Don't jump the gun just yet. Give the clover a chance to grow. It may just smother out a lot of the grass competition. When the clover gets to about 10 - 12" high mow it down to 5 - 6" high and see if the grass growth dies out. If it doesn't you can use the afformentioned products to stunt the grass but you may not really need to. Lynn
