SuperMn106
I am looking to do more fishing with rubber/plastic worms this year in hoping to catch more fish. I would like to know how you guys rig your worms when you use them? Thanks for any help.
unioncountyslayer
I fish with plastic worms about 90% of the time. In the early to late Spring I rig them with a hook only so that the motion and drop is very slow. Once summer gets here and it heats up a little bit I use a Texas Rig. I use only Bass Pro Shops brand 10" worms in Red Shad color. They work great and the "big boys" love em'. If you're unfamiliar with rigging Texas style, here is a link to get you going. Good luck this year, you'll learn to love fishing a worm. http://www.catcherman.com/features/rigging/texasrigging030602sportmn.htm
jcwa
I use a Texas rig most of the time. It just work better for me when I fish around weeds and stumps. The only time I use a Carolina rig is when I'm fishing deep water lakes.
LifeNRA
Texas rig and carolina rig, mostly texas rig. Personally, I prefer Berkley power worms. The problem with these are this. You need to be fast on the hookset, or the fish will swallow them in a heartbeat!
DU_man_84
95% of the time i texas rig mine, 7.5 inch culprits with a 2/0 or 3/0 hook and weight varies depending on what im fishing
dg
I use a Gamakatso 1/0 hook, 1/2 oz bullet weight, and a 6-8" worm on a Texas rig until more foliage grows from the bottom. Then I use the Carolina rig so it rides above the grass a little better with a 2' lead. Run the hook though the front 1/2 of worm, then run the hook through the worm so it lays flat without a bend. Try visiting ultimatebass.com. I've learned alot there.

Shaun_300
Yep I use them a fair bit, usually rig them Texas style here too, seems to do the trick!
SuperMn106
Thanks for the replys guys, I got out on the water today and tried it out. I got a couple packages of some GULP worms and did a texas rig. On my first cast I caught this Largemouth, not big but still fun. After that the winds picked upand the anchor would no longer hold me still, i was drifting fast.
