Snipe
The past few years it seems I have been seeing more and more dove... So I went to the property this weekend and put in a little plot of Black Peridovik... There is a 1 1/2 acre pond to the right of the pic... It is all gravel around the pond no vegetation....The Dove flock there in the evenings.. If the sunflower comes up it should be a good Dove season for Ole Snipe.. Tominator
That's a good looking plot. We don't plant ours until late may. Our oilers mature too fast and the seed is gone by Sept. My buddy has a nice 5 acre plot that he's going to get serious with this year. In the past we fiddled with plantings, but now he has a big tractor, and a big sprayer, so it should be better this year. Really looking forward to it this year as I missed last year due to surgery. Well, you've only actualy missed 3 years then because there weren't any quail this year. I hunt right in the middle of the top quail producing area, and I was lucky to see 3 coveys a day. LETMGROW
Nice looking plot. We have had a lot of doves this year in our standing corn.
