rossman
Does anyone know where I could find a turkey killzone diagram for Turkeys? Going to hunt with a bow this year but want to confirm where to shoot them. Any websites that offer them, especially if I could print them out to shoot? Thanks dude!!!--rossman
Covehnter
Check out my post "Scrappy does his part, i've made a decision" , get the gobbler guillotines and head shoot them, dont take the chance of wounding such as incredible bird, they deserve better. With these broadheads, its all or nothing. . . the way it should be.

Rather have a good flying arrow that doesn't planer out after 15 yards!!!! This will lead to a greater chance of wounding a bird. If the arrow planes out and drops, it will hit low in the body and wound the bird. I would rather use a wide cut mechanical with a 2 inche cutting diameter. Just my two cents!!! But anyway, thanks for the help.--rossman

Covehnter
That was my concern about the guillotines but you are the first person that i've heard say that they didnt fly well out to 20-25 yards. But, in my opinion 20 yards should be the max shot for shooitng at a bird anyways. The birds i've shot at this year have been 12 and 15 yards. Because I have heard that they dont fly well on your regular arrows, got to use the arrows that were made for them. I never tried them. Got this info from a few archery pro guys. BTW, your welcome! No, I didn't use the arrows specifically made for them. I used an uncut arrow, so the guillotine cleared my sight. Maybe I'll try them. Thanks. --rossman
rossman
Objective? What is the objective when shooting a turkey on the body with an arrow? Am I trying to break his back or shoot the lungs/heart out? I know the heart and lungs are much smaller than a deer. When you kill a turkey with an arrow, what do you hit internally that kills him? Thanks again.--thanks
Covehnter
You got it, heart/lungs or backbone.
