snapper
So most of you agree with Tony about the debris thingy...maybe true...don't know for sure! I honestly don't think thats why Tony picked up his ball and went home crying...that is the excuse he came up with after having a few days to pout about it!!!!! $10,000 to Tony is like me getting a speeding ticket for $5...thats the joke part of it. Besides, I heard on Nascar Now on ESPN that the drivers aren't REQUIRED to do post race interview...its just an unwritten rule...so I side with Tony on that issue. If Nascar is giving a fine for no media interview and he isn't required to do so...I'd tell them to stick it and retire...lol
AdvantageTimberLou
The thing with Tony is he does not sugarcoat things, he speaks his mind. Like it or not its actually good for the sport to have someone like him out there racing. Like him or hate him he is not afraid to tell it like he sees it and the cautions anymore are a joke. Let the guys race!!
Chrud
So most of you agree with Tony about the debris thingy...maybe true...don't know for sure! If you'll notice, whenever there is a debris caution, rarely do they show it on camera. Even if they say "debris in turn 4". Duh, what turn is it going to be in? Get a camera over there and show us. Talladega isn't much of a debris place, but Richmond can be. I'd be willing to bet for the next couple races there are very few debris cautions. SuperMn106
I heard on Nascar Now on ESPN that the drivers aren't REQUIRED to do post race interview...its just an unwritten rule I read somewhere in the last couple of days, that Tony said it was written in his contract that he is required to do interviews and said he thought wrong, i will try and find the link again. I believe for the top 3 finishers it is mandatory. The link for Tonys statement. http://sports.espn.go.com/rpm/news/story?seriesId=2&id=2851305
str8shooter48
I'd say Tony is right. He just shouldn't have blasted the elitist group that's running this sport into the ground so hard.. Another interesting thing I read in the above article. "Hey, restarts are fun to watch," said Michael Waltrip. "Every other sport has timeouts to regroup. NASCAR doesn't, so cautions are our timeout." Mikeys probably right in saying that. "Restarts are fun to watch". From a spectators point of view he's right. Ooops I forgot he was a spectator for the past seven races.
flyrod64
I have to agree with Tony. I go to the Charlotte races every year and the last 4 years I've seen it happen. A few years ago Bobby Labonte had it in the bag and a caution with 5 to go gave Jimmy Johnson back a half a lap and he won at the finish. They tried again last year but it didn't work. NS whitetail
from Tony's interview -- "I can't understand how long the fans are going to let NASCAR treat them like they're stupid before the fans finally turn on NASCAR. They have turned me off for sure

Nick
Are you guys kidding? How many times have I seen in this forum, NASCAR compared to big time wrestling??? NUMEROUS times!!! Now Tony Stewart opens up and says the same thing and you accuse him of being a whiner????? Get real!! If people like Tony Stewart dont open their mouth, where Nascar will actually listen, then this sport will continue to go down the hill. They may have fined him......but lets see how many debris cautions we get at the end of races from here on out. If I remember right, wasnt Tony way ahead of Jimmy in the closing laps of the COBALT TOOLS 500 and Nascar threw a debris caution and never showed the debris on tv. Well of course thats put Jimmy right on Tonys rear bumper to set him up for the win in the race sponsored by one of his sponsors. How convenient.
