Buckslayer
This thing must've weighed 30 lbs. I shot it with an 8mm. One shot to the head, from about 130 yards. This is on my family's farm so hence no orange hat rules applied. Put him down while I had the chance. He stood 2 feet high when on his back legs. We've been after this hog for 3 years. http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h222/heyklunk/Hunting%20Success/imag1.jpg

Buckslayer
Buckee, I don't think dem old'ns are good fer eat'n. Maybe if you want to make a stew from them I can go dig them from their borrows and ship them to Canada. Even though Monday and Tuesday were about 70 degrees, the rest of the week has been cooler so they should be ok.

Buckslayer
Nice hog Are they good eating, or do you just shoot em cuz they're varmits? Take care, Nathan Their burrows cause damage to our farm equipment so we try to keep tight wraps on their existence. I've only ever known one person to eat a groundhog, that was my dad's father. He died before I was born so I never got to ask him about the experience --- but going from what my dad told me that stew didn't smell too apetizing. So the answer is no, I don't eat them. And I have no desire to in the future! :D
