i'm sitting here watching monster bucks 14...and Stan Potts hunt just got over with...after seeing his reaction after the shot, it got me thinking....who, in your opinion, has the best reaction to shooting a deer on videos, and who do you think has the most annoying one? for me...michael waddell is top, with some of those sayings he comes up with afterwards, for instance "thats a judo chop" :D as for the one person i can't stand...STAN POTTS...not only does that eye of his freak me out, but he always gets this angry look on his face and looks like he is going to explode

I think that Michael Waddell is in a tie with Tiffany Lakowski she absolutely freaks out most the time. Most annoying is that Chris Propst. Maybe cause I just dont like him. Ted Nugent is always fantastic to watch after a shot!!

Ralph and Vicki are hilarious to watch! Sometimes Vickis freak outs are alittle nerve rattling but I can't blame her. When I shot my first turkey, I tackled the guy I was hunting with and screamed for a good 2 minutes while running around the field...lol...

Not ashamed to show happiness isn't a bad thing, I hope!

I don't like it when there's no emotion...I really like Jerry Martin but after he shoots he's just like, "Yup. Nice buck. Lets go put him in the truck." Boring!

Waddell's got to be the best. He's funny. I like most of the Primos guys too because they seem pretty genuine.

Guys I don't like are guys that show no emotion at all, or faked shots, like Jackie Bushman always does.

Well, I just watched Randy Oitker shoot a buck and a turkey on DVD, and I thought his reaction was pretty cool. He was excited and even if he was putting it on a bit for the camera, it sure looked real to me :D :D

I won't tell ya who's reaction I don't like, because I respect Stan too much :D

i respect him to, seems like a nice guy and i enjoy his hunts (except those few moments after the shot)...it just seems like every video i have seen of him, instead of looking happy and yelling or whatever....he looks like he wants to fight someone..looks kind of like this ------> LOL

Yeah but I don't care what they do as long as they show appreciation for the animal and real emotions instead of something for the camera. I get pumped when I get one with a friend. I usually call my buddies and let them know I got one or something and I get excited everytime.

I like watching Waddell before, during and after the hunts. He cracks me up. ;)

Maybe it's just me, but I get the impression Pat Reeves is acting and forcing the excitement. :(

I'm a Ralph and Vicki fan as well.....they are the real deal, and had the pleasure of learning that first hand when i met them a few weeks back........I like Ralph's hunt on his 220+ Mulie, and Vicki's black bear hunt when she stuck an arrow in a tree directly above the back of a black bear and he didn't even notice......classic hunts and authentic reactions.....

I've been satisfying my bowhunting addiction with tons of videos lately, and I have got to say i am becoming somewhat sick of hearing the same old thing from a multitude of pro-hunters...."look at the mass"...."man am i pumped".....you know, it's just the same ol', same ol'

I like the guys who you can't predict how they are gonna react next...MW, the Ciancarulos, the primos boys....etc...

I'd like to add one to th edislikes list. Tom Miranda.

I just watched Big Game Fever the other night and I liked the hunts but his reactions are so fake it's rediculous.

I hunted with an outfitter that Tom Miranda hunted with the year before and the guide said the same thing. He said he could turn his emotions on and off with the camera.

i do like a little change in the after shot sayings but man i can stand the Nuge. he is always trying to write a song or rhyme some sayings together to sound creative. im all about the experience of hunting but he takes the spiritual mumbo-jumbo way to far.

obviously this is just my opinion.

You guys are way to hard on ole Stan Potts.

I love his reactions. He seems to be pretty shaken with nerves and always needs that large "gimme a minute" deep breathe to calm down enough to speak. LOL

I dont like the mock post shot taping. No excitement in them. You can not fake the adrenaline rush, nerves, shaking, and pure excitement of shooting a nice animal 15 to 30 minutes after you really shot it. IMO

You see tons of that on todays shows now-a-days...

Think Stan Potts is genuine, and I respect his reaction, and enjoy watching him. I for one like his enthusiasm. Of course Waddell's reactions are also usually great too.

One I cannot stand anymore is Jackie Bushman and his ho-hum, "nother deer down lets get em tagged up and get the 4 wheeler....." like it is a worn out old job. The total lack of enthusiasm he displays almost makes it seem like he does not even enjoy what he is doing anymore.

Far as Ted Nugent, think some of his antics are a little much, I mean the whole "the beast is dead long live the beast" thing has gotten a bit tired with me, but he does still show enthusiasm and respect for the animal and you have to appreciate that.

i love Michael's reactions and sayings but the other day i was watching The Choice the other day and Ralph shot a huge brown bear. After he cried cuz it was his dream come true. His reaction really showed his love for hunting and what it means to him.

I like Waddell and the Primos boys. I even like Stan Potts, however one thing turned me off to him was a video where he shot a deer in the neck, straight on. I think it was Drury film but I cant remember. I know mistakes happen but it appeared like that was the shot he was aiming for...I just asked myself if this was the kind of thing we want to teach young hunters to do....shot for the neck??

Are you talking about the 220" really narrow buck that he shot facing him?? If that's the one, that was a good shot. It was in the proper place for a shot facing you. That was on Primetime Bucks 9 I believe.

ditto. I think he tries to act more excited than he really is for the camera as well. People like him are just annoying to me.
