Birds are still falling in Georgia. . . only 8 mornings left and i'll be out there on each. Hens are on nest and have even seen some little ones with there mommies. The boys are being talkative when they choose but actin' funny from all the pressure from the long season of runnin' from the camoflauge blobs.

tk2000/doublebull matrix

Well men(scratchers) another nice one went down this am.I've been watching the other side of this canyon for maybe five years and finally had to take the big step and seek permission. It turn out to be easier than i thought. This place loads up with big gobblers standing out on every point along the rims.Sometimes you can get them to fly over, but not lately.I took my "Bull" up the hill last night right at dusk, hung it in the only trees (three pine),left the Eberlie pack and headed back down.Birds were roosted in the steep draws down below me.Hiked up in the dark only to find the landowners mules had got down the "Bull" and played a little hockie on the hill.No problems, set up watched three gobblers head for the rocks at first light.Across the canyon my regular spot was nothing but gobblin. Now i'm wondering if i should of staid over there?Up over the far point comes a long beard,a couple of purs on the "Spec 1",and he starts coming from 200 yds,not a piece of brush, bush, just wide big green hillside.Next thing i know he's 20 yds out eyeballin the "montana girls" and not carrin one bit about the "Bull".Tk2000 out the slot, load of Hevi 13 and i'm tagged out for the spring season.18 1/2lbs,11 inch beard,(three hairs)the rest 9 3/4,15/16" spurs. Oregon will be seein the "Bull".my eberlie pack will be toting, me and tk2000 are going to look for some field birds that feel safe.I'll post some pictures as soon as i can.go team!

Guest INHunterman

Well the season ended sunday in Indiana. I didn't get a turkey. The way I look at it I wasn't prepared for the season, you know scouting and the like. School and work didn't help either. I just got my first job so I do now have a source of income so I can spend more on preparations for next year which starts now. By next year I should be ready to go!!! BTW, congrats strubedog on the turkey, I hope Bruce and Andy get theirs too.
