Swamphunter
I shoot an XT and use the G5 Optix ME sight with gang adjustment. I used to shoot 300 carbons, and have since switched to my current GT's (55/75's). My bow is tuned and shooting perfect bullet holes, but I have noticed that I had to raise my pins as high as they would go in the gang adjustment to be sighted in. My new arrows point of impact are 12" higher than my old arrows. They shoot VERY consistant though, and group tightly. What could cause this...simply a change in arrows?? Thanks
Squirrelhunter91
How much lighter are the GT shafts that your old ones?
wtnhunt
My new arrows point of impact are 12" higher than my old arrows. How far out Ken? Even with a weight change in the arrows, that is really surprising that there would be that much difference.

Don't forget I retuned...I shorted my shafts about an inch, and lightened my arrows to 391 grains.
Straight Shooter
Your going to shoot higher due to the fact of shortened arrows meaning you are shooting faster, then the diameter of the shafts are bigger so the arrow sits higher on your rest, not much but enough. I've done the same thing except going from aluminum to graphite and vice versa. The arrow actually weighed very close but the dimensinal changes were the big factors. If you've got the room to do with vane clearance, move your knocking point down a little as well as the rest. This will bring everything back down to what you are used to. VTbowman
Sounds like you had your peep creep up some by string stretch. Lighter will be faster but thats a huge jump. Sounds more like something is a tad out of tune. If your getting bullet holes then most likely its not your nock point or rest. Do the close your eye and draw test on your peep. wtnhunt
Lighter will be faster but thats a huge jump. That was what I was thinking too. But since you say you re-tuned the bow, guess whatever adjustments you made are also a factor in making up the difference.
Guest forsythe04
check ur anchor points. i would guess ur peep slid or something along those lines. maybe ur kisser isnt clamped down tight enough if you even shoot one
Swamphunter
I believe this may be hand torque...I have been doing a bit more shooting recently and it seems to be coming back into where it should have been. Will keep ya's posted!
