Shaun_300
Re: muskie fishing i fish pike all the time, sometimes try for musky. havent got one yet though. i am really gonna try in the summer and fall this year there has been some monsters caught. i'll try the Ottawa River and then Golden Lake, and the Bonnechere River that connects Golden Lake with Round Lake... Ontario theres probably millions of "Round Lake's" LOL
fisherguy
Re: muskie fishing haha yup shawn i can think of at least three round lakes (named that) within 100 miles of my home. The Ottawa river has some pigs in it! I guide on Eagle Lake and musky fish a fair bit. In a summer i at least see some 40 pound class fish every year, and this summer i know of many released over 54"with one that was 57". I spend a lot of time on numbers lakes though, i still am young and impatient and like to catch fish when i go out. lol

LifeNRA
Re: muskie fishing I catch them by mistate. Usually in the spring when I am pitching spinnerbaits around. Caught one a few years ago about 40 inches. It was a tiger musky. Biggest one I ever had, I was surprized I landed it since I had no leader on and 8 pound test line, on a tube! horst
Re: muskie fishing A few years ago we had some bad flooding and a lotta lakes and waterways ran together and went into the river. The next spring I started catching small tiger musky below the dam at one of the lakes here where theyre not supposed to be.Caught several dozen of them which I released hoping theyd show back up in the following years but havent caught one of them since. JamesVee
Re: muskie fishing I've caught a couple over 50". And I really haven't put in nearly as much time fishing as I would like to. I have found that by having fast retrieves helps my success. I've got some pictures, but I dont' want to bore anybody.

JamesVee
Re: muskie fishing I have to admit, they aren't boring. I wish I could go out everyday and catch 'em. But like they say, they're the fish of 10,000 casts. Here's one: 53", 34#
