Mountaineer
I haven't been able to get anything so far. Been out 4 times, heard 1 distant gobble the first morning, and last week saw a gobbler come off roost, but he hooked up with hens as soon as he hit the ground. It's been pretty dead around here for alot of people and myself. Going to go try it in the morning and stay til at least 10 AM and see if they start gobbling by then like I've heard. Supposedly they're leaving the hens around this time and getting fired up. Who knows!
arrow32
Not a bit. They are starting to pick it up tho. I say this week will be good. Went out Saturday and had a hen come in. Was working a gobbler then 2 dogs ran in and that was done before it really got started. My girlfriends dad killed a bird Tuesday. But this week should be good and next. The woods won't be so open so that will be a plus.
