woodshed
I'd like to use my blind this week for the first time on turkeys. It has the shoot through mesh windows on it. Do you use the shoot through mesh with turkeys? If so what does a shotgun shot do to it? I would think one shot would render it useless. thanks
Guest Oneida1
If I'm not mistaken a Shoot-thru Blind is meant to be used with a bow not a shotgun. I use a ground blind that is nothing more than camo material with metal bars through it. It is about 18" tall and about 15ft long. I sit up against a tree and it conceals me from about the chest down. Just enough so I use my calls without being busted. i think I got the ground blind for about $20. It has worked for me the last 2 seasons. Oneida1
MrWiggely
I wouldnt use the mesh with a shot gun. I have used blinds for turkey in the past and never the mesh. I prefer to set up natural blinds with material laying around where I am setting up though. Wigs
huntinguide
there is no need to use the shoot through mesh, deffinatly not with a shotgun. Turkeys are not like deer and scense danger. They have to see danger to feel threatend so as long as you are not real abrupt with your movements you dont need the mesh.
