Guest DaHunter
Re: Any opinions on this gun??? Well i dont have one but i suggest tryin a kicks gobblin thunder choke tube, .655 constriction. This works wonders with a winchester supreme in my remingtion. maddhunter
Re: Any opinions on this gun??? I have an 870 Express with a Tru Glo turkey choke and I use 4x6 Remington loads. Killed my first bird this spring at 40yrds. Just remember the loads are just as different as the chokes are.
snapper
Re: Any opinions on this gun??? If time and money allows, try as many different shells (shot size, and brands) with as many different chokes you can. Many guns preform different with different loads and chokes. Ask around from friends and family if they have a choke (that will fit your gun) that you can borrow and try patterning it.

The 1300 always turns in a solid performance. You should have no problems making a turkey-slayer out of yours.

Most of the turkeys I have shot have been with a 1300. Borch
redbeard
Re: Any opinions on this gun??? My son downed two with one shot from this gun at 42 yards. He was using loads and choke from Nitro Ammo.
Missed160
Re: Any opinions on this gun??? I have 2 of them. Killed Lots of birds, 5 turkeys with them. I think they are a pretty "Bread & Butter" gun, Nothing special, always work. I have killed birds with both the Winchoke Full Choke and then I bought an Undertaker for it. Shoots reaaly weel with Winchester Supreme's #4 or 5. I also added a sling to the one I use most of the time, I like to keep my hands free. Bow Hunter Derek
Re: Any opinions on this gun??? I used to have a 1300. Killed a bunch of birds with that thing. Mine liked the H.S. Undertaker choke tube and #5 Remington 3" loads. But every gun is different. Buy a few choke tubes and several boxes of ammo and start testing.
