unioncountyslayer
Just curious what brand/type of fishing line everyone uses. I have always been a Berkley guys since they sponsered my granddad's tournaments for 20 years. I use to use the Berkley Vanish, but for the past few years have been using Berkley Iron Silk and love it. It is very strong with low memory (great for baitcasters) and very abrasion resistant. LifeNRA
Stren lines here. Still use the Magnathin and clear blu flo.!
DU_man_84
i have always been a stren man myself, but as of the past 3 years i have gone all power pro, i have power pro on all my musky, bass(except 1), walleye, white bass, and catfish rods, there are 3 reels i dont have power pro on that have stren on them and they are one of my bass rods for finess fishing, and my 2 reels for panfishing, when it comes to super line power pro is the only way to go IMO, and when it comes to mono, i use stren
Shaun_300
I usually use Trilene 10lbs test on my medium action rods and the same in 6lbs test on my ultra-lites, it works great for me!
coles
i tried the Cajun Red line up here and it seemed like the trout could see it or something. cuz when we had clear line on we caught fish. but the year we used the Cajun line we caught very few or none sometimes. lil hunter
I usually use Trilene. in the red box. I use to use stren some, but it started snapping right out of the real, so I quit using it. Turns out it was just the real, but I still haven't used stren since then.lol.
Jeramie
I usually use Trilene 10lbs test on my medium action rods and the same in 6lbs test on my ultra-lites, it works great for me! Pretty much the same here. I use the Ultra Limp when I can find it. Great for open face rods. I just picked up a roll of 8lb this week. I typically use 10lb but dont need that heave for Sand bass (whitebass). I figured I would get a few extra casting feet with the lighter line. SuperMn106
I am kinda back and forth on some lines right now. For bass fishing I use 8lb stren and for salmon and steelhead fishing I use 8lb maxima.
Guest andrewsk
I use 8lb super mono on my reels mostly and 20lb super mono on my river/downrigger rods. I really like the castability of it.

Guest Andrea
You name it, we probably have it. Stren, Tri-lene, Berkley, Spider-Wire, Gorilla-Braid. We fish for so many different types of fish, we keep a wide variety of tackle.
DSGB
Mostly use Stren. Either lo-vis green or clear blue flo.
Texan_Til_I_Die
I adjust my line to the fishing conditions at the various lakes. If the water is relatively clear, I use Seaguar florocarbon. Off color, I'll sometimes switch to Trilene Big Game or Spider-wire braid for heavy duty flipping.
flyrod64
I've used Stren all my life ! on my flyrod setup I'm a cortland fan.

I'm fooling around with the Power Pro to see if I can still get the bites with it as I do on the Fluorocarbon. Eric

bulldawg
I also have good luck with the Iron Silk. I do alot of river fishing and that line is tough, but doesn't have a bad memory to it. I have had bad luck with stren, so I don't use it anymore. I pull shadraps cross current alot, and the knot strength isn't there. Trilene XL was my all time favorite in 8 pound, but the last several spools of that have left a memory in the line, and I'll be leaving that stuff behind now too. The kid uses spider mono with great results. I may have to try it. Dawg
