I don't know about you all but, my sport I took a lot of heart and will to play is Baseball. I played from being 6 years old to high school level. I remember playing my best game in our tourney. I went the full the cycle with 4 homeruns and threw 5 runners trying to steal. We won by only 2 runs , by the team who won our class in state.

What did you play in high school that you hold dear to your heart.

Re: Remembering those high school days of sports!

I played basketball from 3rd grade till freshman year. Cut Sophmore year and Jr year the coach wanted me to go out again cause I could high jump 5'10".

Football started 7th grade and this year ended with a State championship Runner up silver ball.

Track started sophmore year when i was slow and trying to get faster for football. Got alot better as I worked at it and Jr year went to state in the 400m This year I'm working hard to get there again and maybe... get a nice spot somewhere on that podeum. I have hopes of running in college. Lots of college coaches after me.

Weight room and running every day after school and durring summer since sophmore year. Makes you go far and leave everyone else in the dust tongue.gif

Re: Remembering those high school days of sports!

I started playing baseball when I was knee-high to a grasshopper, and was pitching the whole time. I made Varsity as a freshman in high school and could pitch a 73 mph fast ball at 14 years old. I also had the meanest sinking curveball you ever saw......I'm talking the ball headed for the batters head and at the last minute diving and hooking over the outside corner of the plate. Baseball was it until the next to the last game of the season when I threw one of those sinking curves and heard a loud pop in my elbow. That was the end of my career. I had popped the tendon and a lot of ligaments. It was bad enough that I'ld never pitch or play ball again (could not throw) but my coach told me that there were scouts at a few of the games to check out 2 of the seniors, and they wanted to know all about me.

I started wrestling in 7th grade and did so until my senior year. never really excelled at it but it was fun.

Football was it after baseball was gone. Played linebacker in highschool, then was switched to safety in college where once again my career was cut short when a pulling guard blocked me on a blitz and their teghtend fell into my knee. That was the end of all sports for me.
