Turkeygirl
luck..turkey blessings...whatever will help;) I'm going out in about 30-45 minutes to the top of the gravel pit again...hoping the gobbler is back in vicinity of his roost after later morning and all day to forget this morning. I'm hoping at least if he isn't roosted right on this ridge, he'll sound off. I have to go by like 3 diff. sets of dustbowls on the way and I saw some wing marks from him strutting in them so I'll see if they've been used. If I don't hear anything...should I still try in the morning and see if he gobbles or just try the state land for the sake of trying? This bird has been probably the most vocal bird coming to the roost and on the roost I've encountered. Last night he just hammered away working his way up the ridge from below...hoping he does so tonight...
