What is the best kind of seed to plant in a food plot?

what is the best to plant because i was thinkin on tryin some biologic or some antler king products????

This really should be in the land and wildlife managment forums. Might ask a moderator of this room to move it there.

What are your goals? hunting plot, feeder plot, perennial or annual?

Our best results with perennials have been from pennington seeds and hamann farms seed blends. Have had good results with clover blends from both of them.

For spring/summer annuals have had our best results with tecomates lablab plus or a mix of cowpeas and beans mixed with sorghum that I mix myself.

Personally I am not a fan of biologics seeds. Have used a couple of their blends and not had any luck with them at all.

well it depends

If I were planting a spring/summer plot I would put down some Biologic LABLAB and probaly some soybeans. But you cant have soybeans left when the first frost happens in your state becuase after the first frost they will die. But I would go with somethings HIGH in protein for a summer and for winter I would plant Wheat/oats/and ryegrass.

Well where im going to put my stand is off of the main deer trail. on one side ive got a corn field then yo uenter the woods adout 15 yards and you hit a logging trail. then you go up a slight hill and hit the clearing that my plot is goin to be in and i plan to hunt the field and the plot. Weve got another guy about 30 yards from the plot too where he has a stand and i might ask him what he has in mind to put there.
