Too bad I wan't on a team , I had a 24 lbs, with a 15 inch beard and 1.25 inch spurs...best one to date...that was my fall bird, got a 20 lbs with 10 inch beard and 1 inch spurs in the spring...that was my first longbeard. snapper
Re: How about a turkey Contest??? Like Nut said...we have had turkey contest in the past and more than likely will have another this spring. After all the folks sign up (there will be a deadline) borch usally takes care of making up teams. He tries to make it as fair as posible with spliting up the youth hunters along with the different spieces being hunted. Then you'll be required to post a picture with you in it...a picture of the beard and tape meassure...picture of the spurrs and tape...and one with either the tag or a sign with the date on it (this usally is in the first pic.). Depending on how many folks are signed up and how many teams...we take the top # of birds from each bird and using the NWTF scoring system...thats how your team will get your score. There will be a posting of the rules and so forth soon. Hopefully we can get some prizes like in the past...but if not, its only really for bragging rights! RyanH
Re: How about a turkey Contest??? Hey guys I think in this year contest i think that a Bird shoud get some many point then a bow kill gets you extra points! What do you think? Cause a bow kill is alot harder then a shotgun kill! What do you think?

RyanH
Re: How about a turkey Contest??? Hey man if you work harder for the bird you deserve more points right? I can shoot a tom at 50 yards with my shotgun! Not getting a turkey in at 20 yards or so pulling your bow back and getting a good shot ona turkey with you bow! Now thats hard! I think you should get extra points!
