Matchthedeerslayer
What is the best load/grain for a Browning .270 A-bolt? and what is the best brand??
wtnhunt
Depends on what your gun likes and what you are planning to hunt with it. Use 150 grain core lokts for deer in my remington model 700 .270. They group better for me than the 130 grain winchester power point plus or the 130 grain core lokts which I have also used on deer.

I have tried a few different manufactures. I have always came back the Federal Premium 130 grain spitzer boat-tail.
AJ
The best loads are the ones that are matched to what you are hunting/shooting and shoot the best. In my 30-06 guns, no two shoot the same loads the best. They each have their own favorites. Buy a box of each and see what your gun likes. Matchthedeerslayer
I normally use 150 grain remington (not core lock) soft tips. But I ocassionally use a 130 grain not soft tips from remington.
Missed160
I have the same gun you have, I found that the Winchester Power Point 130's shot noticably better then remington loads. Next year I have booked a trip to Manitoba, I am going to try some of the Federal Fusion 150 grain, the ballistics on it look pretty good.. Jeramie
Anyone who shoots very often will tell you that guns like to eat different loads. Id almost bet you dollars to donuts that gun wont shoot Corelokts and Super X the same. What you're going to have to do is go out and buy a few boxes of shells to see which shoots the best. If it will shoot the Corelokts pretty tight they are a great, cheap round. Ive never lost a single animal to one. You can bump up in quality if you're going after game bigger than deer but if thats all you're shooting at you wont need anything more expensive IMHO. But its been a while since ive thrown in some 130s tho. What do you mean by " not zoomed " ? I'm fortunate that my .270 shoots quite good with the Rem .Core. I did try some Federal Premiums . They were not any better for accuracy, so for the price of them, went back to Rems. too_
Matchthedeerslayer
zoomed in means that i dont zoom in my scope any. I think fed premiunms are way too expensive thats why i use the rems. or just plain old feds.
David_218
Don't know how your Browning A-Bolt will perform, but I use 53.5 Grains/ IMR-4350/ 130 grainer in my Ruger M-77 MKII, and it is very accurate. I do have a Browning A-Bolt but it is chambered in .308 Winchester and it works well with IMR-4064 powder with a 150 grain Hornady Spitzer. riverBottom
Not sure how accurate your wanting to get, but I've found that by hand loading all my own I can achieve much better accuracy for each of my rifles than any store bought ammunition. Its also much cheaper. I have a 270 WSM and get great results with the Hornady 130 grain Interbond
Guest bowhunter56
I only shoot reloads, 54 1/2 gr. of imr 4350, winchester brass, cci primers, and 130 hornady spitzer..could not find mfg. loads that i was happy with.
