Turkeygirl
That is the question. Went up to the gravel pit tonight....glasses the logging trail leading from the pit, glad I did cuz there was a turkey just inside the woods. It didn't see me and I couldn't tell what it was. Anyway I heard one roost down below the pit and another one or two roost right on that same small ridge as ever night since last Thursday. I don't know if I should get up and sit inbetween the two and see what happens, or wait and do that Tuesday. I'm planning to go into work tomorrow at 6:30/7:00am, but Tuesday/Weds. go in later so I can hunt. Obviously no one has been up there besides me for a week...so I'm guessing these turkeys are fine, and I'm guessing it's still the hen and big gobbler. No gobbling...suppose to be really cold tonight..below 30. I'm leaning towards roosting them again tomorrow night and waiting until Tuesday to go out, so I'm not rushed tomorrow...I have a girl coming in to start work that I need to be there to train at 7am. What do you think? Think it's safe since no one else has been up there?
