dogdoc
Finally got a few days without rain so headed out saturday--hooked up the tiller onto the Kubota and went to work. I ended up planting 100# of a Spring Wildlife Mix and added another 50# of IC cowpeas to the mix. Planted several long strips. Finished with about an hour of daylight left--that night received 1/4 inch of rain and last night another 2" got dumped on the plot. Thankfully it is really flat so hopefully none of the seed got washed away. The first strip is a curved plot that follows the contour of the creek that runs on my land. I tilled about 1/2 of my winter plot but left the rest to provide some good wheat/rye/oat seeds for the birds. It is only about 12 feet wide but around 150 yards long: The second plot is the same mixture--again I left some of my winter plot. con't
dogdoc
The third is really close to the 2nd. It is in the shape of an L--very close to thick wooded cover More pics as the plot progresses. take care todd

bfletch7441
Lookin good! I'm surprised you could till with as much rain as we've gotten. I went out Saturday and didn't dare start turning dirt, still pretty soupy in my neck of the woods. Ben

Covehnter
Wish we could get enough rain to wet the dirt and stop some of the dust. We're waiting on the rain to get our seed in the ground, wish it'd hurry up!
