buckee
Cancer update OK, I went down to Victoria again today, to get an Ultra-scan on my prostate, and to go to a pre-surgery anesthesia appointment afterward. This was supposed to be my last appointment before I go for the surgery in Vancouver, accept we ran into a hitch after the Scan was done. Apparently my prostate is too large to operate on right now, so it has to be shrunk down a bit, in order to do the implants You'll never guess how they do that... They give you a shot in the butt, of slow release female hormones, which slowly decreases your testosterone levels, thus decreasing the size of your prostate over the next 3 to 4 month period. Gee, just what I always wanted. If I start shopping for woman's camo clothing, somebody slap me, or kick me or something.. eh Now I have to wait for September, and go back down to Victoria for the Ultra-scan again, and the pre-op stuff that was obviously cancelled today, because of the new findings. I'm not exactly jumping up and down for joy right at the moment, but I have had this song echoing in my head all day..."I am woman"..I am woman, hear me roar...geesh. I'm trying real hard to take this like a man, but at the present time, I think I have more female hormones in me than my wife does...LOL:D The doc even said I will get hot flashes:o and a few other things for the next 6 months...OH...boy. I looked over at my wife when he said that, and she actually snickered. That's right...she snickered...LOL Dang women.

Tominator
I knew there was a reason you kill deer with your bare hands. Too much testosterone. Maybe the local deer will have a chance this year. Newarcher
Prayers Buckee, I am really sorry to hear that. I am guessing they gave your Estiradol? There are many things that can be affected by the lower testosterone but mainly you will feel like crud and have no energy and may even enter a little bit of depression. Just hang on, you will get through it. In times like this, I hear that it is a good morale booster to go buy something nice. Having said that, I hear Victorias Secret is having a two for one sale on all their intimates! We're not laughing with you, we're laughing at you! Hang in there buddy, it will all be worth it when you are healed up. New

Newarcher
Hey Buckee, I just had a thought that I think will uplift you and take away all your worries.... Women live, on average, 7 years longer than men so you have nothing to worry about! I couldn't help it, we are laughing with you and praying for you. Rhino
3 to 4 months of female hormone shots. Oh boy...I guess that's still a correct statement. Well you're wife should have an easier job getting you trained to leave the toilet seat down. Only now she'll have to put up with you telling her how to drive while she's driving. Prayers on the way from Dixie Steve. Hang in there and be glad dogdoc isn't your doctor.
buckee
mainly you will feel like crud and have no energy and may even enter a little bit of depression. I've already got that. I have to push myself as it is to get through a days work. I feel like going back to sleep around 10:00am. If it gets worse, I'm going to have to get something for it. It sounds like I'm going to have some real struggles working this summer. I'm worried about that, because that's my busy time. So when you get mad, can you claim PMS? From what I understand, so far...YES, I can I'll be ranting away like Andrea pretty soon.
