H.S. Strut Butt-out tool: anybody see it?

Has anyone seen this tool or used it before? Just saw it in the new Cabela's archery catalog and it looks very ingenious! Just wondered if it worked as well as it looks.

In case you haven't seen it, it is a plastic t-handled tool with 4 little "fingers" at the end that you insert into the anus and it catches on the membrane as you twist it. Then you pull it out and the anal canal comes out with it, just tie off and cut. That's how they describe it's use.

yeah that was called the deer-e-ere last year, H.S. must have bought them out or something...either that or they just changed the name of it...looked interesting, but what i do is just find the anus...and cut around it about an inch or so away from it, in as far as my knife will go...after that, when you are gutting, it just pulls right out...

there is a video on the deer-e-ere site showing it being used...http://www.deer-e-ere.com/ just scroll down until you see the link

My wife bought me one as a joke, but I acutally used it on 6 deer last fall. It does work very well. What I found was it doesn't make the job much quicker, but does allow you to tie everything off quickly and easily, which made for a bit cleaner job, no spillage of the intestine contents in the deer at all. In the past I always cut everything free, but didn't take the time to tie it off, and often some contents would get into the deer when you pulled it through. It is pretty gimmicky, but it does work as advertised, if you field dress alot of deer in a season, it is a handy tool.
