hangunnr
Got to stretch the legs on a couple lightweights yesterday. Unfortunately the windy conditions shut down any real accuracy tests but I did find a couple loads that hovered under an inch in both guns. This one is a Remington Sendero in 300WM. I skim coat bedded the action and installed a set of Holland springs in the trigger. The Leupold 8.5X25X50 LRT is a decent piece of glass but the mount and rings will be changed to allow better eye relief. I need the scope to move back about another .5". This 300WM Encore is a real pleasure to shoot. Sure gets the attention of any others at the range. Thanks again to VTBowman for the tube. The 3X9 Burris is perfect for this barrel. I really need to do a trigger job on this frame as the stock setup is OK but not great. The potential is there for a one hole shooter at 100yds with the Winchester CT 165gr bullet. hangunnr
Strut10
Always a pleasure to pop off some light stuff once in a while, ain't it?? I thought the general consensus (amongst the uninformed and undergunned) was that the OTPG stuff was not acceptably accurate enough for fine work. Sub-MOA isn't a bad "first try". Now you need to get back PA way so we can snipe some more 'chucks.........OTPG-style.
huntinguide
i would love too own both of those fine lead slingers

VTbowman
I am starting to regret selling that tube to you C-man. I have yet to get mine from OTT and its really starting to peeve me off. I have the 17" Encore 7mm Rem Mag pistol bbl coming back with a few mods by Mike. I can swear to the 300 WM accuracy. I had a 3 leaf clover mine first round at 100 yards with that gun bbl and Federal 150g factory ammo. The SSK muzzel break works like a charm as I had said. No one believes until they shoot it but not many want to even try. LOL
hangunnr
That's a bummer having to wait as long as you have. That's the exact reason he'll never get any of my money... I'll use SSK for any rechamber work. I may end up with a 7mag barrel too. Kinda been looking for a decent 7-08 heavy rifle barrel for a cut down, muzzle brake and rechamber to 7mag. Be sure to let us know how it shoots if you ever get it... hangunnr

But he is popular and very busy so I guess its what it is. I know the 3-12 Burris is getting lonely... LOL
