i'm currently shooting rage2 mechanicals with blazer fletchings through a whisker biscuit. if i were to switch to a fixed blade like a slicktrick would i have to change out the fletchings for helical and therefore the whisker biscuit too?

thanks

i was told that helical fletchings could not go through the whisker biscuit and that the broadhead may not fly too well without an offset of helicals.

Dont know that I would shoot a head that requires using helical fletchings, but if you do and the arrows do not fly right with your blazer fletchings, would think it would be easier to just shoot a muzzy head or montec head that will fly with your existing fletch and rest instead of changing the rest and fletchings to suit your new heads. Guess it all depends on what you want to do. And NO it is not suggested to try to shoot helicals through the whisker biscuit.

thanks for the advice, me new to all this. in general, do two vs three vs four blade broadheads fly differently depending on the fletching?

thanks

Not telling you what broadhead to use, but muzzy's 3 blade 100 grain heads fly great for me with my setup using regular straight fletched vanes with approximately a 2 degree offset. Using a whisker biscuit now too, has slowed my arrows down just a little.

Have used three blade and four blade heads with the same arrows in the past with a different bow than I am shooting now, and they would group pretty consistently.
