Born2Hunt
I hate the new format so I have not been on for weeks. With that being said I missed everyone and am now taking time to learn how this format works. Why did we need change anyway?
toddyboman
The new forum is like any thing else the more you use it the better you are at. So maybe some just need to work with it more. Do we need to start another thread on how to do certain things or one to help each other out on how to do certain things???
buckbuster11
Thus far Im annoyed by the changes. Its not nearly as user friendly and Im pretty computer savvy. I cant imagine how some are lost. Even using the emotion icons isn't simple. Pain, pain, pain. Ive noticed the activity has cut way, way back. Sometimes the lounge goes several hours without a ton of responses. Summer or not that isn't typical. Its just simply not as easy (use friendly) as the old format. Im a long timer and will never quit but it sure isn't as easy to stumble around in...... This is pretty much how I feel about it. I am used to the look but there are a lot of features I dont like or have not been fixed. I still cant figure out how to reply to a pm without it automatically quoting the last pm reply. Gets really annoying after trading 4 or 5 pm's with someone. As already mentioned, the copying and paste deal is way to complicated and the who's online feature has been a wreck. Hopefully these things get worked out but it's been a while since the new turnover and a lot of things have not been fixed yet.

toddyboman
. I still cant figure out how to reply to a pm without it automatically quoting the last pm reply. Gets really annoying after trading 4 or 5 pm's with someone. Just select the previous message and hit the delete or backspace key to remove it from your pm. Simple as that. unioncountyslayer
To be honest............the old photo post on RT stunk. I quit using it. Now I stick with Photobucket and just click and paste. Simple. The Who's Online thing sure needs to be fixed though. Andrea, I use photobucket as well. But when I copy a picture from photobucket and then try to paste it in a new post, PASTE is not even an option. I have tried and tried and it just doesn't work. I don't know why it works on your computer, but it doesn't on mine.

Then return to realtree forum hit the quick post button and right click in the post box there is no option to paste.???

But then, I just use the windows way of copy, CTRL "C", after the selected text is highlighted.
need2hunt
I have the PASTE option, just no COPY. But then, I just use the windows way of copy, CTRL "C", after the selected text is highlighted. Don't know if you all are aware but on photobucket, when you click on the text and it highlights, it also automatically copies it for you. And union - to paste all you have to do is hold down "ctrl" and "v" at the same time and it will paste it.

You dont have the option to copy from photobucket or from realtree?? Im guess from realtree. You do not have that option because for some reason the post box area is in a picture format. I have not clue why it is that way and there is probably no way to change it. Mostly that is a programming flaw made by whom ever wrote the program. buckee
So you go to photobucket and copy the  You CAN'T use "Quick Post" if you want to "paste" a picture, or anything copied...and yet, you can copy anything you want in "Quick post" . The "paste" function doesn't work in "Quick Post". But, you CAN "paste" , if you use "http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/buttons/reply.gif' alt='reply.gif'> "..and yet can't copy. The "Copy" function doesn't work in No..it doesn't make any sense, whatsoever:rolleyes: , and is either a flaw in the program, or a flaw in the setting up of the program. I use my mouse for all those functions, just like 90% of PC users do. That's why the function is there at your finger tips, instead of having to learn all the keyboard mumbo jumbo. In my opinion, a user friendly program, makes for a friendlier forum atmosphere. 90% of PC users are not experts on computers, and shouldn't be expected to be when visiting a forum........again, JMO

Ohiobucks
Use these features instead of "right click" copy or paste: "Ctrl-C" to copy highlighted text "Ctrl-V" to paste anything into a text field (text, picture, whatever) "Ctrl-X" to cut

All you have to do is copy the image line at photobucket or wherever you are hostting your pics and paste them here. When you right click trying to paste the copied line, what options do you get? Guest psefirestormlite
posting pics on this site is a pain in the butt. You have to make a picture just for this forum.
wtnhunt
You have to make a picture just for this forum. Belong to a few other forums, and have not seen any that you do not have to first upload to a hosting site. Dont think this one is any different. I see no difference personally in ease or difficulty of use in posting pics since the change.
buckee
posting pics on this site is a pain in the butt. You have to make a picture just for this forum. Not true at all. You can post multiple pictures here now directly from your files in your PC, using the attachment feature. That's one feature that can and will be very useful. buckee
CORRECTION: You CAN'T use "COPY" while in "Quick Post" or " POST REPLY".. (using mouse functions) But, you CAN "PASTE" after copying from an outside source, . The "Copy" function using your mouse doesn't work in " POST REPLY".. or "Quick Post" This is a valuable tool to all. Sometimes when sending a PM to someone, or making a post, I will right click and COPY, within the post to make corrections or move things around before I've sent it, or to paste elsewhere. Can't do that now, using the mouse...why?
KenW
Can't do that now, using the mouse...why? just thought i would try copying & pasting in a quick reply seemed to work for me but i had to swich to editor mode
