Petey 1, Copperhead 0

Last night about dark I walked outside and heard my dog Petey rising all kinds of a ruckus at the top of the drive. Unfortunately, I knew what it meant, COPPERHEAD. Went in, grabbed a shotgun and flahlight, and walked up there. I could see the snake, but couldn't get a shot off, it must have started slithering away, 'cause Pete grabbed it and went to shakin!!!:D :D Ended up tearing it into at least two pieces:D :D . Last couple of times he has done this ended up with him gettin bit, not this time.:D I could hear that snake slapping each side of Pete's body whenever he shook it. This was a pretty darn good size one, I am betting around 2ft long from seeing what was left of it. All I can say is "GOOD DOG"!!!!!!!!

Yep, good dog for sure. Saw a good sized moccasin here Friday when I was working on my wheel disc.

Got a black racer we have been seeing in the back yard occasionally here lately, almost hit it under some cut grass the other day. Has to be better than 6 feet long. I like seeing that guy around, they eat copperheads and water moccasins.

Smart to

Yep. Sounds like a good dog. Not a great dog....but good dog.

A great dog would've chunked that snake on his owner so we could've really got a laugh out of this thread.

:D

I forgot to mention that Ole Petey is pretty darn smart to. Had he pitched said snake on owner, while holding a shotgun, both snake AND dog could have been shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
